10 Detained After Standoff

GLENWOOD, Ore. — Armored military vehicles swarmed a parking lot in Glenwood Sunday in a standoff situation that lasted several hours. Police say it all stemmed from a 911 call about a dispute at 4:30 p.m. Sunday morning.

Investigators responded to a report of an attempted assault and illegal use of guns at an apartment on the 4500 block of Franklin Blvd. When deputies tried to make contact with the group of people inside, no one would come out.

Officers used flash bang devices and pepper rounds to get the people to leave the home. Finally a group of 10 people was detained and citations were issued. Only one person was arrested because of an outstanding warrant.
