EUGENE, Ore. — Starting Monday, Sept. 10, the North Bank Path in Alton Baker Park will be closed for improvements and repairs. The path will be closed between DeFazio Bridge and Leisure Lane.
Kipco, Inc. of Eugene will replace the aggregate surfaces and rebuild the narrow asphalt sections to the standard 12-foot-wide concrete surface. New lights will also be added on the path and the boat landing.
Access will still be available to the boat landing, Cuthbert Amphitheater and picnic shelters by using Day Island Road.
The project is expected to be completed by late October. The total cost of the project is $700,000 and is funded by federal grant programs, with the local match from the City’s transportation system development charge fund.
