1982 Hyde Park Bombing Arrest Made

(CNN) — Police have arrested a man in connection with the 1982 Hyde Park bombings in London, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.

John Anthony Downy of Ireland has been charged with the IRA targeted attacks that killed four members of the Royal Household Cavalry.

Along with the four cavalry members, seven horses were also killed as they rode from their Buckingham Palace barracks.

Downey also faces charges with intending to cause an explosion likely to endanger life.
