2 Killed in Coal Mining Accident

WEST VIRGINIA(CNN) — Two coal miners in West Virginia are dead after becoming trapped inside a mine Monday night.

It happened in Boone County at the Brody Mine Number One when the ground in the mine failed.

It’s unclear what caused the incident.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Mine and Safety Health Administration says the miners’ bodies were recovered.

The agency is investigating what happened.
