CORVALLIS, Ore. — A Corvallis ciderhouse is growing, and that means more cider varieties and more jobs.
2 Towns Ciderhouse is opening another facility near the Corvallis Airport. On Thursday, crews unloaded cider tanks at its new site. The company says it will be able to start producing more ciders, which will help the local economy.
“In 2013, we hired eight people,” said Lee Larsen, 2 Towns general manager. “We’re not exactly sure what’s going to happen this year, but definitely with the increased growth and cider produced, we’re definitely looking at creating more jobs.”
Larsen says the company will also be able to produce more types of cider.
“Not only will this facility allow us to create more cider, but it’s really going to allow us to diversify our offerings and share some new and exciting ciders that we’re coming out with,” he said.
The new facility will just be used for production. The tasting room, which is also expanding, will remain at its current location on Highway 34.
