METEOROLOGIST MELISSA FREY’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
We get one more day under the current pattern which means another sunny day is on the way. Temperatures should be warmer today with the lack of fog or clouds and the absence of the strong north winds we’ve been seeing. The Eugene/Springfield are should make it to the low 80s, the Umpqua to the upper 80s and the coast will be in the low 60s.
Friday and Saturday will look a bit different. A cold front is tracking to move in Friday night, but the brunt of this storm will be taken north and by the time it gets here it’s not looking very impressive. We’ll stay mostly cloudy Friday and temperatures will fall to the upper 70s. Saturday will also likely start cloudy, but as the front moves east during the day, we should see mostly sunny skies for the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s.
Behind this storm, high pressure looks to rebound and grow even stronger Sunday and Monday. This would bring temperatures to the low 80s for the start of next week. By Wednesday, cooler air beings to move in from the north.
Have a great day!
