4J Hosting Forum on Building Updates

EUGENE, Ore. — The 4J School District will hold the first of four “Building 4J’s Future” community forums Thursday night.

Most of Eugene’s school buildings are 50 years or older and are the district says they are costly to maintain. 4J will be holding a series of community forums to hear the public’s views on how to update them.

The public is invited to Chavez Elementary School, 1510 west 14th avenue from 7:00 to 8:30 to share their opinion.

The remaining three forums will take place over the first two weeks of October:

  • Mon., Oct. 1, 7-8:30 p.m., North Eugene High School cafeteria, 200 Silver Lane
  • Thu., Oct. 4, 7-8:30 p.m., Cal Young Middle School cafeteria, 2555 Gilham Rd.
  • Wed., Oct. 10, 7-8:30 p.m., Roosevelt Middle School cafeteria, 680 E. 24th Ave.
