4J Searches for Architects

EUGENE, Ore. — The 4J School District got voter approval to rebuild several schools on Tuesday, and the district is already on the hunt for an architect.

Money raised from the bond measure will replace or renovate Howard and River Road/El Camino del Rio elementary schools and Roosevelt and Jefferson middle schools.

4J reps say the new facilities will have a lot of benefits for students, including leveling the learning fields with other newer schools in the district.

“The differences are really stark, so we’re looking forward to replacing these buildings, bringing our operating costs down, making an investment in our community that is a good long-term investment,” said Jon Lauch, Director of Facilities Management.
