50 Years of KEZI 9 News: Comedy Writer Mason Williams

December 16, 2010

By Rick Douglas

Mason Williams made his mark as a comedy writer on the 60’s TV show, “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.”  As sometimes happens in Hollywood, he was in the right place at the right time.

Some of you might remember Williams’ many Christmas shows at the Hult center.  There likely won’t be any more of those because he says he’s no longer performing in public.  But he is reworking his catalogue of songs, and that ought to keep him busy for several years to come.
