FLORENCE, Ore. — In 2004, the city of Florence was named the best city in the entire country for retirement.
And that brought about what can only be called “a great migration.”
This was especially true of Californians who moved to Oregon in droves.
Flush with cash from the sale of their homes, they turned the real estate market on the coast upside down.
