Near COOS BAY, Ore. — Thanksgiving weekend usually involves a turkey feast and some serious shopping. For several south coast residents, this time of the year kicks off a very special tradition–visiting an array of Christmas lights at Shore Acres State Park near Coos Bay. The event is in its 26th year and boasts more that 300,000 lights. This display is up for 40 nights from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Eve.
