A Slice of Kindness for The Mission

EUGENE, Ore. — Little Caesar’s Pizza spent the morning dishing out food to those in need one pie at a time.

A portable kitchen that travels throughout the country stopped at the Eugene Mission Wednesday morning to serve 130 pizzas.

Managers from the local Little Caesar’s restaurants volunteered throughout the morning cooking up the fresh baked pies. Little Caesar’s donates leftovers each day to the Mission, but it says it’s happy to give fresh food to those in need.

“We do give them things on the side, but this is an opportunity for us to show that we do care and people need nice, hot cooked meals at this time, so we’re just thankful to be here,” said Steve Victor, Little Caesar’s franchisee.

Earlier this year, the portable kitchen traveled to Moore, Oklahoma to serve up pizzas to those affected by the deadly tornado that nearly wiped the community off the map.
