Activities for Kids on Spring Break

3-21 SPRINGFIELD LIBRARY PICSPRINGFIELD, Ore. — If your kids have nothing to do during spring break, the Springfield Library is offering a number of programs to keep their minds sharp and entertained.

Next Monday through Friday, the library hosts its Spring Break Science and Art Extravaganza.

Planned for this year are science, technology, engineering, art and math activities, also called STEAM programs. Organizers say there are a number of interactive activities for kids of all ages.

“We’re having a rocket launching workshop, there’s discover the secret of white light, you can make art out of recycled materials,” said Kristen Cure, Springfield Librarian.

Kids who attend can enter a drawing each day to win a free science book.

The Springfield Utility Board and Springfield Arts Commission are co-sponsors.
