EUGENE, Ore. — A lot of events have been cancelled or postponed because of this week’s snowstorm, including Thursday night’s 11th annual Affair of the Heart.
The free evening for women at the Lane Events Center has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 4 p.m.
Affair of the Heart features vendors who focus on health, fitness, beauty and fashion. Organizers say it wouldn’t be right to have an event with a theme on health and safety and then have people risk the drive in the snow.
“We wanted to make sure that the people who were coming felt good about coming. It goes until 9 o’clock at night, and some of the prizes we give away you have to be there to win, so we want to make sure that people can go home at night and be safe driving home,” said Jeff Gaulton and Kim Beemer, Affair of the Heart Coordinators.
About 8,000 women are expected to attend the event.
