Start your holiday season with the rich, vibrant sounds of brass—lots of brass! The Eugene-based Oregon Brass Society, under the direction of Dr. Chris Chapman, the Director of Bands at Oregon State University, is a 30-piece brass band patterned after the historic and popular brass bands prevalent throughout Great Britain, but also performs as a symphonic brass choir using US instrumentation. Our holiday concert will feature beautiful carols, familiar Christmas favorites from yesterday and today, plus a twist or two as only brass bands can do! If you’re looking for an event to get in the holiday spirit, look no further!!
Sunday, December 9, 7 PM, First Baptist Church, 3550 Fox Meadow Road, Eugene (1 mile north of Beltline Road on Coburg Road).
Admission is free, however donations will be gratefully accepted– the Oregon Brass Society is a nonprofit tax-exempt organization registered with the Oregon Cultural Trust.
