The Colleen Raney Band’s traditional & contemporary Irish music is sure to be a crowd pleaser. While singing for more than two decades, the firey red-head has been immersed in America’s Celtic music & dance for three. Her first album, 2008’s “Linnet,” showcases her re-imagined classic Irish songs, as well as her own songwriting. 2011’s “Lark” was a collaborative project with many of the Northwest’s finest Celtic musicians. That same year, she released “Cuan,” a duo album with master guitarist Colm MacCárthaigh & toured throughout the U.S. & Ireland. Colleen Raney’s niche is centuries-old music with an eye toward current & future listeners outside the genre. Her touring band lineup includes Casey Neill (guitar, vocals) & Johnny B. Connolly (Irish button accordion).
