Albany Man Indicted After Fatal Crash

ALBANY, Ore. — Nearly eight months after a wreck that killed two people, an Albany man faces charges of criminally negligent homicide.

Wallace Beaver was indicted by a Lincoln County grand jury last week and turned himself in on Friday morning.

Oregon State Police say that on the morning of October 25, 2012, Beaver was driving westbound on Highway 20 near Eddyville when his car crossed the center line and collided with another car driven by Daniel Loper. Loper and his 34-year-old daughter April were pronounced dead at the scene.

Beaver’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 24 in Lincoln County Circuit Court.
