Albany Museum Honors Veterans

ALBANY, Ore. — Just in time for Veterans Day, an Albany museum opened its exhibit Monday on various wars.

The museum also showed the movie Honor Flight for free to anyone who was interested. The movie is about the program that flies vets for free to Washington, D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial.

The museum says it’s trying to spread the word on how vets can get involved in the program.

“And what the whole thing is: number one is to see the WWII Monument. But in essence to give a homecoming to these World War II veterans that they didn’t get before,” said Judie Weisser, Museum Director.
