Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:
The ridge of high pressure that brought in the heat this week is sliding east. This means changing weather across the Pacific Northwest.
You may have noticed the extra clouds this morning and the cooler temperatures. We’ll still see partly sunny skies today and dry conditions along with temperatures 5-10° above normal, but much cooler than most of this week. High temperatures will fall to the low 60s at the Coast, low 70s in the Valley and upper 70s in the Umpqua Basin.
Temperatures will drop another 5-10 degrees this weekend as an area of low pressure moves through. This will keep us under mostly cloudy skies and bring chances for a few sprinkles Saturday and more widespread showers Saturday night through Monday.
Tuesday through Thursday is shaping up to be dry with highs in the low to mid 70s.
Have a great weekend!
