METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Weather across the area Sunday was very diverse. Those in the Willamette Valley saw mostly sunny skies, letting high temps get into the 70s. Those in the Umpqua Basin kept it mostly cloudy with a few showers passing through by late afternoon; high temps were in the mid 60s. For those along the coast, the winds shifted onshore early Sunday morning increasing clouds and bringing cooler air.
High pressure will regain control Monday through Wednesday keeping it dry. Clouds coverage will decrease each day and high temperatures will climb from the mid 60s to near 70 degrees.
The next chance for rain will arrive Thursday as a storm moves through. Following this storm will be another one Friday night, keeping rain showers through the weekend. Cooler air will move in with these storms and drop temps into the upper 50s.
Have a fantastic first week of April!
