Long sunbreaks between the clouds and showers, Thursday, allowed for warming and increased instability of the air. This helped spark popup, afternoon thunderstorms producing lightning and soft hail.
As we move into tonight, the thunderstorm threat will end but the showers will linger early before clearing out. As the clouds decrease, temperatures will fall into the lower 40s along the coast and upper 30s inland.
After another cool start Friday morning, we will warm into the mid to upper 50s by late afternoon. Showers and a possible afternoon thunderstorm will be likely once again.
