EUGENE, Ore. — Looking for a holiday gift that’s outside the box? What about art?
One-of-a-kind gifts you won’t find in a store–you’ll find them at the Maude Kerns Art Center. Almost 350 pieces of art on display and for sale.
Celebrating art in all forms, the 20th annual Art for All Seasons exhibit is under way, featuring 101 local artists.
Three galleries at Maude Kerns are dedicated to the show. You’ll find mixed media, still life, abstract, oils and landscape.
The Maude Kerns Art Center is Eugene’s only nonprofit community center for the visual arts, and it’s grown significantly since it first started in ’50s with about 20 artists. Now it boasts close to 500 artist members.
“Eugene is an amazing community for the art and it really gives us to celebrate the artists that are in the community. I always tell people, just like you buy your food locally, you should buy your art locally,” said Michael Fisher, Exhibits Coordinator.
You’ll find more art in the Club Mud Room–ceramics like statues, cups and vases. All pieces are made on site at Maude Kerns Art Center Ceramic Studio.
Prices range depending on the art. The Art for All Seasons show runs through next Friday. It’s open weekdays from 10 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from noon until 4 p.m.
