Attempted Kidnapper At Large

EUGENE, Ore. — Police are looking for the man who is suspected of trying to kidnap a toddler and possibly burglarize a home in the River Road area.

Tuesday night around 10:30 a woman reported an unknown man reaching into her home and trying to grab her daughter. The woman said she was in her kitchen when she heard her toddler screaming. She ran to the front door and saw a man reaching through her door, grabbing the toddler.

She said she was able to pull the child away from the man. She then shut and locked the door and the man fled.

The man is described as a white male, in his 20s, about 6′ 2″ tall, with a thin build, wearing a red/blue baseball cap, dark shirt (possibly black or dark blue, with a hand – middle finger extended- in white), and jean shorts.

If anyone has information in the case, they are asked to call Eugene Police at 541-682-5111.
