Attempted Robbery at Jewelry Store

HARRY RITCHIESEUGENE, Ore. — Police are investigating a robbery that happened at Harry Ritchie’s Jewelers at Valley River Center Tuesday morning.

Eugene police say the store was robbed at gunpoint at about 11:20 a.m., and the suspect took cash.

They say police, mall security, and store employees worked together to catch the suspect within 10 minutes. Police say the property involved was recovered.

Police say the suspect, 62-year-old William Patrick Ingram, was arrested for first degree robbery.

    Can you believe that the Mall doesn’t feel that they need to or have to share that there was a man in the mall with a gun to mall employee so they can stay safe!!!!!How are we ever going to feel safe in valley river center!!! We are happy to hear that the employees are safe and didn’t get hurt.
