EUGENE, Ore. — To celebrate Earth Day Monday, St. Vincent de Paul hosted the grand re-opening of its Aurora Glass showroom.
All of the products there are made out of recycled materials diverted from the landfill. There are glass products, candles, cleaning rags and more.
“This is a reflection of of the values of our community. Basically Lane County, Eugene, Springfield has always been on the cutting edge, in my opinion, of recycling waste-based business development,” said Terry McDonald, St. Vincent de Paul Executive Director.
This year, St. Vincent de Paul is on track to divert more than 10 million pounds of items from Lane County’s landfills.
