SANTA CLARA, Ore. — You can enjoy native plants at Awbrey Park this Sunday.
Neighborhood volunteers are hosting the fifth annual Wildflower Celebration.
This city park has come along way in five years. Once overrun by invasive species of plants, now it’s thriving.
Volunteer Brandi Ferguson joined us on KEZI 9 News Midday to talk about the festival, which is free to the public. It happens from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Awbrey Park is a great example of how volunteers working with the city can reshape their communities.
