Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:
The sneak peak to summer weather officially ended late last week and we returned to normal spring weather this weekend.
The storm system that brought in the rain showers Saturday and Sunday is the same one that will deliver showers Monday as well. Scattered showers will continue through the day, ranging from drizzle here and there to heavy downpours, all mixed with plenty of sun breaks in between. We’ll also see chances for thunderstorms across western Oregon this afternoon. High temperatures will be lightly below average in the low 60s in the Valley and Umpqua Basin and upper 50s along the Coast.
We’ll be in between storms for both Tuesday and Wednesday. This will leave us dry, partly sunny and with high temperatures retuning to the mid 60s in the Valley.
The next round of rain moves in Thursday and will stay through Friday followed by another front on Sunday.
Have a great start to the week!
