Ballots Due May 20

voter turnoutEUGENE, Ore. — The May Primary Election is Tuesday, but the number of ballots returned is only a fraction of Lane County residents.

Out of 201,375 registered voters, about 42,000 have casted their votes; that’s about 21-percent of all registered voters.

The Lane County elections office is hoping at least another 10,000 come in Tuesday.

Ballots can still be dropped off at any of the official ballot drop sites or to the elections office on 10th Avenue in downtown Eugene.

To be counted, all voted ballots must be received at the elections office or in an official drop site by 8 p.m. Tuesday.
