Bank Collecting Sandy Relief Donations

EUGENE, Ore. — Wells Fargo is joining the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.

It is accepting donations at its ATMs in Oregon and S.W. Washington until Nov. 13.

It says it will send 100 percent of the donations to the American Red Cross and there is no fee for the service.

In addition to the donations it will collect at its ATMs, Wells Fargo says it will donate $250,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and $750,000 to nonprofits conducting grassroots relief and recovery efforts in the areas affected by the hurricane.
