Barger Drive Closes for Construction

EUGENE, Ore. — A portion of Barger Drive will be closed starting Monday as construction crews install a new waste water system.

The project includes constructing a new 750-foot-long sewer line in Barger Drive from a pump station on Terry Street to a pump station on West Irwin Way.

The new line will provide an emergency bypass for waste water in the event that the West Irwin pump station experiences a power outage or other problems.

Eugene Public Works expects the closure to last about two weeks.
