EUGENE, Ore. — The 21st annual Bark in the Park takes place in Eugene on Sunday. It’s a 5K run or 2K walk to benefit homeless animals. The event is Greenhill Humane Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
Greenhill cares for thousands of lost, stray and abused animals each year.
Last year, over 1,000 people and hundreds of dogs leashed up to support Greenhill. They raised about $71,000. This year’s goal is to raise $70,000.
All of the proceeds will go directly to the animals they care for each year. Bark in the Park takes place Sunday at Alton Baker Park. Click here to register.
