Drivers will use a new temporary ramp for exiting I-5 south to Beltline east and west. ODOT says it will be a big adjustment for the 97,000 drivers who use these exits every day. The ramp that drivers will see Monday will be a temporary one while crews build the permanent ramp right next door.
“In reality. It’s a permanent change because while it may be temporary in this particular exact location, the new ramp and new signal will be right adjacent to it,” said Rick Little ODOT Spokesman.
The whole project is expected to be complete in 2014.
