EUGENE, Ore. — The Bethel School District took the first step in securing some much needed upgrades.
The school board approved the request for proposal process Monday night.
It essentially allows architects and construction companies to come up with bids to build two new elementary schools and a new science wing at Willamette High School.
“Here are the parameters. Here are the expectations. This is what we’re looking for in our architect, and we’re hoping to attract a good pool of candidates,” said Pat McGillivray, Bethel School District spokesperson.
Voters overwhelmingly approved a nearly $50 million bond in November.
