Bikes Power Band at Ballpark

pedal powerEUGENE, Ore. — Lots of home run power is on display Tuesday night at PK Park. But, they won’t be the only power people are talking about.

Anybody coming into the stadium for the Northwest League All-Star Game from the front gates will see Pedal Power Music. It’s a blend of people on stationary bikes powering the band Medium Troy.

David Villalobos of Pedal Power Music sums it up best calling it a bicycle-powered audio-visual system.

“I really feel that it bridges that gap in between the two. And the audience really becomes an active participant in the performance and takes that memory home with them forever,” Villalobos said.

Pedal Power has made previous appearances at track and field events in Eugene, more recently at the Eugene Marathon.

The Oregon Country Fair is their bread and butter. They love festivals.

The Northwest League All-Star Game starts at 7:00 p.m. In order to not interfere with the game, they’ll shut down the bikes at about 6:45 p.m. So you’re more than welcome to come on down and experience Pedal Power Music for yourself.
