EUGENE, Ore. — The first day of the KEZI Eugene Boat and Sportsmen’s Show kicks off Friday, but the biggest vendor at the event was already getting ready Tuesday. Clemens Marina has their boats cleaned, polished and ready to show at the Lane Events Center. The manager says they also have an event in Portland, but they look forward to the Eugene show because of the people and the economic impact.
Manager Ray Austin says, “This show is our biggest show. It’s our only show we do all year in the Eugene area. We used to do two shows. This is the only show we do and we’re going to take 34 boats down there. We have special deals going on all of them. This really kicks off our season. Our season gets going and people get excited. They get cabin fever.”
He says they’ll move all the boats in Wednesday and thursday just in time for show on Friday. The show opens at noon. You’ll find hundreds of exhibits for all kinds of outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, camping, boating and kayaking.
