COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — More than one hundred vendors were getting ready for a full weekend of fun, Wednesday. The Bohemia Mining Days celebration starts Thursday and runs through Sunday.
The festival features music, square dancing, a little casino and even a re-enactment shootout. There’ll also be woodworking, arts and crafts and plenty of food all focused around the western theme.
The whole fest highlights the heritage of Cottage Grove.
“Cottage Grove has an incredible history, we’re really lucky to have this really colorful, western history. We’re a huge gold mining community,” said Heather Campbell, Festival Coordinator.
On Friday and Saturday there will be parades. Saturday between 12-5 p.m. people can see the re-enactment shootout.
