UPDATE: Oct. 14, 2013: Oregon State Police is making a correction to its investigation of a deadly wreck on Aug. 26th of this year.
Two people died in the two-car wreck on Crow Road west of Eugene.
Initially it was determined that Shaylinn Pearl Manchester of Veneta crossed the centerline and collided head-on with Zachary Jacob Moitoza, killing both drivers.
However, state police now say it was Moitoza’s vehicle that caused the crash, crossing the centerline and colliding with Manchester.
CROW, Ore. — Oregon State Police is continuing its investigation into a fatal crash Monday night.
Troopers say around 9:20 p.m., a Toyota Camry driven by Shaylinn Pearl Manchester, 21, of Veneta, was traveling westbound on Crow Road south of Highway 126 when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming Chrysler Sebring.
Investigators say both Manchester and the driver of the Sebring, Zachary Jacob Moitoza, 29, of Eugene, were killed in the crash. They were the only occupants in the vehicles.
Troopers say Manchester was using safety restraints, while Moitoza was not.
OSP is continuing the investigation into the cause of the crash.
