Boy Pulled from Springfield Pool

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Emergency crews responded to the Splash! at Lively Park Pool on Thurston Road for a near drowning.

An 8-year-old is recovering at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend Hospital after being pulled from the pool by a lifeguard there, Springfield police said.

The information is still limited, but Springfield police say on Friday afternoon the staff at Splash! pulled the boy from the water and revived him.

Mike Moskovitz of Willamalane says when the boy was pulled out, he was unconscious. CPR was performed and he was conscious and breathing when he left the pool.

Willamalane doesn’t know what part of the pool the incident happened.

We’ll bring you more information as it becomes available.
