EUGENE, Ore. — Christmas is a few weeks away and with Thanksgiving behind us, people are ready to start decorating.
Tree lots have been popping up all over town, including one along Coburg Road by a local Boy Scout troop. Members said they’ve been raising money through tree sales for at least three decades. While there are many options in town to pick up a pine, the troop is hoping shoppers will stop here and help their organization.
“This is very important to us, because it’s our biggest fundraiser,” said Boy Scout William Grieve.
His fellow scout Marshall Pandolfi said, “It’s supporting local Boy Scouts and helping young boys get a chance to do things they normally wouldn’t be able to.”
The stand will be there everyday until December 23. The group is also offering to pick trees up for ten dollars.
