METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Expect partly sunny skies Tuesday, with a few showers in the morning. The next storm moves through Tuesday night, with the heaviest rain falling overnight. This storm will also bring strong winds, especially along the coast with wind gust around 50 mph. Scattered showers will continue throughout Wednesday. Highs will remain in the mid 60s inland and upper 50s along the coast.
Thursday will be the transition day; a few showers will linger in the morning, but skies will transition to partly sunny skies by the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s.
High pressure moves Friday through Monday. The weather will be dry and warmer with highs in the mid to upper 70s in the valley, near 80 in the Umpqua Basin and low 60s along the coast.
