This is the second year it’s holding the popular promotion, which gets you a pint of beer for a pint a blood.
The blood center say last year it significantly helped increase donations, and Hop Valley Brewery gave away more than 2,000 pints of brew.
“Normally around the holidays we need to go on appeal and tell people how much we need blood and beg people to come down, but there were so many donors last year that we had an ample blood supply all through the holidays,” said Kristi McElhinney, Lane Blood Center spokesperson.
This year, donors will get a 2012 commemorative “Heart of Hops” glass, along with a beer of their choice.
The blood drive runs until Jan. 9.
