EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene brewery is encouraging folks to explore the city while reducing their carbon footprint.

Falling Sky Brewing recently started a new bike share campaign.

It’s called Bike Here, Bike Share. The staff says response has been great since things got rolling a couple of weeks ago.

And while it’s a new concept for a private business, Falling Sky says the idea behind it, of keeping things close and local, isn’t.

“I think that’s always been a part of our identity at Falling Sky with how we deal with our food and how we deal with our beer always using the highest ingredients. It’s just a part of our identity part of who we are,” said co-owner Jason Carriere.

The bikes were purchased from the University of Oregon’s own program.

The program is free. You just need to put down a deposit and share your experience on social media with the hashtag #FallingSkyBrew.
