EUGENE, Ore. — Did your Christmas lights take a beating this holiday season?
NextStep Recycling is collecting broken lights to recycle.
“People are collecting them in their homes and they really don’t know what to do with them, and it’s been a need. And the manufacturers have a process now the processors do for handling this while they might not have a few years ago,” said John Barnum, NextStep Executive Director.
NextStep says instead of dumping those dimmed lights in the garbage can, you can drop them off at 11th Avenue and McKinley Street in Eugene.
