Budget Committee Issues Recommendation

EUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Budget Committee finalized its recommendation for the city budget in an 11-to-four vote on Wednesday night.

The committee is recommending a budget that doesn’t cut any city services, but would instead provide one-time funding to continue supporting local parks, pools, law enforcement and libraries. ┬áIt’s also proposing to take $4.2 million out of the reserves for budget shortfalls and $1.1 million out of the PERS savings, but no money out of the city facility fund.

The city council will vote on the finalized budget proposal on June 24th.
