EUGENE, Ore. — If you’re sick of rising gas prices or in an exercise slump, here is some incentive for you.
The Business Commute Challenge is right around the corner.
There are some different events for the challenge this year.
There will be a poker walk downtown, and there’s an early registration contest where team captains or people who refer new businesses have the chance to learn how to drive an LTD bus.
“Bus, carpool, walk, I’ve had people attempt to ride their horse to work,” said LTD’s Business Commute Challenge Coordinator Marcia Maffei.
Last year, the challenge saved nearly 93,000 miles.
Maffei expects even more business participation this year.
