EUGENE, Ore. – Pleasant weather on day four of the Business Commute Challenge, allowed participants to advantage when commuting to work.
Participants used all different forms of transportation, including walking, biking, public transit or car-pooling, to get to work and cut down on emissions.
On Tuesday organizers celebrated all the people biking to work and back, like Andy Limbird who bikes to work more than 170 days a year.
“I log about 34, 3,500 miles a year, which is about the distance between Eugene and the North Pole as I found out,” Limbird said.
Wednesday is Transit Day. Breakfast will be served at the Next Stop Center, and then at the Glenwood Campus there will be the “Drive the Big Rig” event.
