Campers Not Worried About West Nile

EUGENE, Ore. — Folks are already filing into the campgrounds for Labor Day weekend.

With a recently confirmed case of West Nile virus in Coos County, we wondered if nearby campgrounds had any plans of attack outlined.

Lane County Parks and Recreation representatives said they don’t have anything out of the ordinary set up. Most campers didn’t seem too worried either.

While county leaders say chances of contracting the virus are low, everyone’s encouraged to protect themselves from mosquitoes with repellant.
