Car Crashes Into Abandoned Home

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. — A house is seriously damaged after a car crashed into it Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened on Highway 99 just south of Junction City. Oregon State Police said the car ran off the highway and crashed through a fence and into the house. No one is currently living in the home. OSP and the Lane County Sheriff’s Office both answered the call.

Witness Michael Schinnell said, “I was driving down to Jerry’s Home Improvement and saw a car come off the road and come through flying through that fence, then this fence, fly up god probably about this high off the ground and hit the house.”

The driver and the two young passengers in the car were not hurt.
