EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene police officers say alcohol was a factor in a Thursday morning crash in downtown Eugene.
Officers say the female driver was was traveling eastbound near the area where Coburg Road intersects East Broadway.
They say her car crossed the center median and hit a traffic pole. “The collision actually knocked the entire pole down and destroyed the signal,” said Officer Ryan Stone.
The driver was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend for minor injuries.
The intersection was closed off for several hours while Eugene Public Works evaluated and fixed the pole.
