EUGENE, Ore. — Only three more days to give that old clunker to St. Vincent De Paul’s donation program and receive a tax deduction.

Organizers say the IRS allows a maximum of $500 to be written off without a letter. If something is sold for more they can give you a letter to file for more.

Unlike other programs this one has its own retail site allowing them to maximize the value a person can get.

Program coordinators say they will take anything including Bikes, boats RVs and motorcycles.

If you’re not sure of the value of your car it’s best to speak with a tax expert before filing.
